Am I eligible for the UNIGIS professional program?

To be eligible for the “Geographical Information Systems (UNIGIS professional)” you need to

• hold a general university entry qualification  for university / Higher education that is equivalent to the Austrian “Matura” certificate; e.g. High-School Diploma, A-level, Matriculation, Abitur. The equivalency will be checked by the program director.
• prove sufficient English language skills: language level B2 or higher according to the Common European Framework (CEF), or equivalent qualifications.

The Program Director decides on the admission to the study program considering available study places, the application documents and the orientation interview.

Tuition fee

Study program’s tuition fee amounts to € 7,300 payable in a single instalment.

Additional fees are due for credit card payment.

The tuition fee does not include any VAT and is non-refundable. The tuition includes all fees at the University of Salzburg (e.g. library access, e-learning platform, software and the obligatory membership at the Austrian Student Union). Expenses for communication, hardware or optional trips to summer schools, workshops or conferences are not covered.

In case a student exceeds the study end date, no further courses or exams can be taken. It is possible, however, to agree on a study extension with the Director of Studies, which then is subject to an additional extension fee.
